Bkk48 is a good massage parlor located in Sukhumvit 22. That might be a bit confusing numbering right there. But it hit me that the name might be related to the Japanese group of AKB48, hence BKK48. It made even more sense when we think this massage place is aimed towards Japanese clientele.
It was also a tricky place to find. From Phrom Phong BTS you will need to take exit 6 and head to Shukumvit 22 or check this map provided by this shop here. Or, check the video I include at the end of the post for further directions.
The place is located in an alley close to Imperial Queen’s Park Hotel, in a cluster also famous for the concentration of happy ending massages.
My experience on BKK48
I have visited BKK48 a total of 2 times including my last time this last week, and I can vouch that the quality of the girls in this place is good. The shop looks like a very small shop from outside but it’s actually a middle-sized oil massage parlor.

Upon entering the shop a nice looking mamasan greeted me and explained to me the operation and prices. I was tempted to ask the mamasan If I could actually choose her, but I didn’t because I didn’t want to make angry the wrong person. So anyway, I waited for the lineup.
I was presented with about 6 girls that looked really solid. A couple 5’s, but I would give the other four girls 6 to 8 points. Not bad. Even more, when the mamasan pointed to me that BKK48 has about 2 dozen girls working on their payroll. Not bad at all.
I did choose a very brown skinned slender beauty and choose a 1,5-hour service. And I also did chose a nurse cosplay. Yeah, yeah, I know, I have a thing for nurses. Total damage amounted to 2500THB. Average price for this joints.
The girl was super nice, and the rooms were much cleaner than what I expected. She helped me with the shower, and she dressed in the nurse attire afterward. She was too skinny for the costume to be much sexy tbh but still, it was a decent touch. She did the full service, and a blowjob bareback with the right attitude.

Poseidon is a large bath house located between Sutthisan MRT and Huai Khwang MRT, not far from Ratchada. Now when I say big I mean 5-star hotel chain big, a huge building for it. And when I say bathhouse I mean the Asian meaning for the bathhouse, which means, “large whorehouse”.
You won’t get a good massage here my friends, but you will leave happy.
The place itself is an entertainment complex for the gentleman who knows what they want. The place has a Karaoke, a restaurant, and 2 different whore shops. One upscale and a fishbowl. The place is aimed towards Thai and Asian upscale customers but of course, greed is blind and they will allow inside anyone with cash.
The place is famous for the supposed Thai Penthouse models they have. To be honest, I saw the models lineup and I was largely unimpressed, but more on this later.
My report on Poseidon complex
My last visit to Poseidon was in early 2018. That day I did meet with a group of 3 old Korean friends who have been working in Bangkok for quite a while. We had dinner in a Korean restaurant at the T21 mall. Drank a few bottles of beer + Soju, and we decided to round up the night by unloading at Poseidon. A respectable plan.
We took a taxi and arrived really quickly since T21 is not too far from Poseidon.
Now I’m gonna say this: Poseidon has a surcharge fee of 500THB (fishbowl), or 1000THB (models) for foreigners. This gave me an extremely bitter feeling altogether. This surcharge is plain ridiculous, as any other surcharge applied to Farangs in this country. Can you guys imagine the vice-versa, if there was a surcharge to Thais in any Bangkok business? just unthinkable.
Sure, I can afford to pay it, but this unfriendly move will undoubtedly 100% deter me from becoming a regular customer here.
Second tip. From the 1st floor, you can take an elevator that goes directly to the 3rd floor (Where the model and penthouse girls are located.), or go directly to the fishbowl located in the 2nd floor has the proper fishbowl.
So I and my affluent friends know what’s good and we headed straight to the Penthouse to see what’s the haps. We saw about 8 girls nicely dressed, and two of my friends picked a girl right away while my last friend and I agreed to go check the fishbowl first.
Now don’t get me wrong, the model tier girls were attractive and all. But I didn’t see what was the big buzz. Plus I was going to get overcharged for being a farang, so I decided to downgrade myself and go downstairs.
Once in the 2nd-floor fishbowl, I was attended by a nice papasan who explained to me in a decent and loud English what were the prices, the girls, gave me recommendations, and called me handsome. Yes, I know he on commission so I know his motivations.

I spotted a brown-skinned super slender girl who belonged to the most expensive tier. She was unusually tall and so I asked my new Papasan friend if she was a ladyboy. He laughed and said no. And so we closed the deal. You see, calling me handsome paid off after all.

The girl claimed to be from Bangkok and to have worked in Poseidon for half a year. She did a solid job in a room that was very neat. Poseidon complex has really nice rooms and I believe some of the rooms can be more luxurious if you pay for them.
After 2 hours of lewd fun, I rejoined again with my pals who still had the energy to head to the Karaoke rooms to round up a lovely night. Yep. No kidding, god damn Karaoke.
VERDICT ABOUT POSEIDON COMPLEX
Poseidon is a place aimed to those with spending power. The many different levels of prices aim to cater to those who can put down the cash.
Operation#1: 1 sofa lineup with upper tier models. The famous penthouse models everybody was talking about.
Operation#2: Fishbowl on the 2nd floor.
Quantity: Around 20 on the bowl, around 8 in the model’s section.
Quality: Beauty is in the eyes of the beholder but yeah, not bad quality.

The good: Soapy’s are legendary and a must try at least once. Sometimes the girls at the soappy upper price tiers are stunning.
Dream heaven massage is a very well known Bangkok oily massage joint which has 2 shops actually. One in Soi 33 and another in Soi 26. My favorite being the one in Soi 26 (Soi Airi), because it’s located very near to other popular massage joints that I usually go to such as 101 premier massage.
Popular for Japanese gentleman too. In fact, I believe I never been in the Soi 33 shop, but I have been over 5 times in the shop located at Soi Airi.
My last experience in Dream Heaven
The last time I been here was about 5 months ago and I visited the shop very early just after lunch. Only 4 girls showed up in the lineup at this time and 3 of them were rather not good looking. So I choose the only one who was actually cute and young.
In past years I have been offered lineups with way more girls. So I assumed that I visited at a bad time probably too early. This feeling got reinforced when the young girl I picked was a bit disgruntled that I choose her.

Also, by checking dream massage website I noticed that the shop in Soi 26 has 14 girls. And the shop in Soi 33 around 22 girls. But they also have more girls not listed on the menu.

101 premier massage is one of my favorite oily massage parlors in Bangkok. And is one of the places I do regularly visit at least 1 time a year. My other 3 favorite oily places that regularly visit are EZ, Angel, and dream massage.
Now, 101 is located in Sukhumvit 26 beside Sukhumvit 24/1, which is a very famous corner filled with massage parlors, extremely popular with Asian customers, also because many of this business is oriented indeed towards Japanese customers. But that adds fun to the experience and I love this little street with passion.
I have visited 101 premier massage every year since 2014 several times and I always felt satisfied with the quality.
My last visit to 101 premier massage
The first thing to point out is that 101 has a very useful website. So I usually first just go through their website and sort of make my mind before going to the place.
Now, as I said, I love Sukhumvit 24, so many good joints in here. Coming here feels familiar. The street looks seedy as hell but is actually very safe.
Once there, and after I enter 101, I am always presented with a photo book filled with pictures to choose from. This has not changed and the big book has been the operation of 101 for many years and so, I was not surprised that in 2018 they are still doing this photobook thing. So just go with the flow and pick by a photo.
I actually never bothered asking the mamasan for a lineup because I know what she would say. But anyways, picking by the photo it is. That is risky because the photos are photoshopped heavily, and something else that I noticed is that many of the girls were busy. The good thing about the book is that I can take my time picking as I feel no pressure whatsoever.
I think one of the reasons they might use the catalog is because the place is oriented toward Japanese and Koreans. So they operate a little different.
The other reason is that the place is very popular. And so there is a fair deal of customers coming and going. Doing lineups might not be that convenient.
Now, I picked a girl named Amm, who I thought was fairly young, not so short, and cute. Upon meeting the girl in person I was glad and relieved that she looked 80% like the photo. And she was cute. So the risky move paid off. :p
After I picked my Thai cutie, I indicated that I wanted the Jacuzzi option which included 90 minutes. I reckon a shower room and 1 hour is perfectly fine too.
1 hour is more than enough. In fact, that is the setup I recommend, save your coins for a next visit.
The rooms are fairly clean but not luxurious at all. They have in fact very little decoration and they are very simple to merely serve the purpose with cleanliness, and that’s fine.
Once in the room, the girl did a very solid job and she was very professional. Everything felt kind of mechanic, but afterward, we spent a lot of time talking and she relaxed, in which I discovered that she was quite charming and that her English was fairly good. She even claimed to be able to speak Japanese, which didn’t surprise me.
VERDICT
The experience was very good and I enjoyed it as I always do here. The price is fair, the rooms are small but I don’t expect otherwise. They have many girls available but often many of those are busy. Many of the girls are beautiful and they also have a good rotation, because every year that I go there, they have a decent amount of new girls.
I visit 101 premier massage every year and I never been let down. Their website works wonderfully to plan a visit in advance because they have plenty of updated pictures.

I have been exploring this side of Sukhumvit recently, which is also one my favorites, trying new shops and revisiting old ones.
In addict massage, I was quoted a whopping 3200 bath for 90 minutes of service. This made me initially want to leave. But I stayed to look at the lineup.
And thank god I did. Usually, in most lineups, I only notice one or two girls to catch my attention. But in here I noticed as many as 3 or 4 girls raise my eyebrow (nothing else, yet).
Worth mentioning too that hypothetically if none of the girls would catch your interest you guys can leave too. Politely stating a mild excuse, Ie: that you might come back later. Remember that this is Thailand and politeness matter. Indeed you can leave at any time, but the mamasan might get pissed too. Pissed off with a big smile that is.

Foxy is the best Go Go establishment in Chiang Mai and the one I would check first. Located not far from the Night Bazaar.

Sugar Beat is a Thai style coyote Go Go club. The spin is that they have a stage for the live band playing Thai songs. And some sexy dancers too.

Zoe is the best nightclub Chiang Mai and the best place to have fun regardless of that if you are looking for naughty nighlife or not.
Is an extremely popular club and gets packed to boot every single night, with foreigners of all types, local and foreigner girls.

The main action happens at the outdoor bar and dance floor, but they also got indoor.
I think this place is popular because there are many people coming here and the drinks are cheap. Or is it packed because the drinks are cheap?. I think both. 🙂

They close at midnight and it’s the place to be.
The other venues struggle to have the business half-full, but Zoe manages to get full at 10 pm or 11 pm. And people start partying outside when can’t get inside. Seriously hilarious.

Spicy Club has a very similar theme as Zoe does. And in fact, many of Zoe In yellow customers are the same that go to Spicy when Zoe closes.

Apart from Zoe and Spicy, there are other Thai styled Night Clubs available. But bear in mind that this is the kind of places where one would go with a group of friends, or as a girlfriend. Picking a table and purchasing some drinks like a bottle of whiskey.
Chill at your table, and listen to the live music playing Thai hits. Some popular places are:

The Thai clubs in Chiang are fun, however, consider that the girls won’t make moves on you like the other girls in Zoe or Spicy club do.
I recommend the Warm up cafe. In fact, is a very well-known sport to party in Chiang Mai. Located in Nimmanhaemin Road is one of the city’s biggest clubs.
9 out of 10 Chiang Mai locals would recommend this joint. They even have a laid-back terrace where I did sit to chill.
The bands play Thai pop, and the DJ usually plays dance music in between sets and until close or heavy-bass. One of the best joints worth the visit.

5. Soapy Massage Parlors in Chiang Mai
If you want to go straight to the point and bars are not your thing. Chiang Mai has a few soappy options.
Sayuri
Well, Sayuri is regarded as one of the biggest and best soapy joints in Chiang Mai.
But when I arrived there, the place was confusing as I could not figure where the fishbowl was. I started climbing the wrong stairs inside the building and got lost inside there. I freaked out just a little bit but luckily realized my error soon enough. Went back without bumping with anyone and finally found the bar which has the fishbowl crystal.
Inside there, nobody noticed me. Nobody greeted me, nobody offered me drinks. So anyway, I did sit down and stared at the girls behind the glass for 45 minutes. I didn’t like any of the out-of-shape or ugly girls so I just stand up and left. Without even crossing words with anyone. LOL.
Prices for drinks: No idea.
Prices for girls: 1000-2000 for 1,5 Hours.

Ping Payom
Ping Payom has a similar setup as Sayuri, and this place is located adjacent to the Ping Payom Hotel.
I paid 100 for a beer that I barely touched because I only spent a grand total of 4 minutes to decide right away for a fair skin solid 7 Thai girl that I picked up right away.
Total damage: 1800-2500 THB.
Celeb @CNX
Celeb is a new place with modern facilities. And that is very good. The second very good thing is that Celeb is located not far from the Night Bazaar, so that makes transportation convenient.

The girl selection was fine, but those who are used to Bangkok quality might get picky. And I should know because I was picky myself, and one should realize that finding Penthouse tier models in Chiang Mai is gonna be hard.
Settle for what you can or jack off in the shower, is that simple.

Pandora
Pandora is relatively far away beside the railway station (check map below). So having a plan for transportation is recommended.
The place itself is a huge white building with a Greek theme, and that helps to find the place. But after I entered the place I wish I didn’t find the place because the girl selection was dismal.
If someone got lucky finding hot chicks in here please let me know, because I failed miserably.
Price: 1500-1800 to have an all-inclusive happy ending experience.
There is another joint north of Chiang Mai University, named “Chiang Mai Massage Parlour”, I haven’t been there myself but punters don’t talk great things about it.
There might be other soappy in town, but that’s part of the fun: exploring.
6. Happy ending massage in “normal” massage joints
“Normal massage” shops are those who are basically legit shops who would serve anyone, and most often than not they provide good decent relaxing massages.
The spin is that the employees of this shops also know the demands of the male customers, so they might a “happy ending” handjob or blowjob even.
To get one happy ending job one would ask for an oily massage. Thai massage does not (usually) include handjobs, my friends. Once the oily massage began, they will offer it asking the customer. Especially if the customer looks the part. But sometimes the girls might be too shy to talk to the farang.
The prices for such happy endings in Chiang Mai are as follows:
Hand Jobs: 500+ Baht
Blow Jobs: 800+ Baht
Short time sex: Not provided and don’t ask for it. Unless offered, which would be rare.
These small massage shops are scattered all around Chiang Mai. for example in Loi Kroh Road.
The situation is interesting, as there is some growing sexual tension going on as the message happens. Until she finally offers you to give you a handjob and she mentions how much the tip will be, which is pretty hot.
Mind that the tip is paid after you cum directly to the girl. Then when you go downstairs, you pay the original massage price at the cashier who might be another girl.
In my opinion, the girls on this joints don’t look all that good. I would stick to the soappy parlors or bars to look for the more pretty girls.

7. Karaoke entertainment in Chiang Mai?
The problem with Karaokes is that they aim for the Thai crowd, some might be honest but as a rule, they don’t want you there and they will scam you the most money they can. Sometimes very blatantly as they know you are a tourist and won’t be back or cause any major trouble for them. The reward is too big.
Karaoke places with sexy girls also exist in Chang Mai, but the amount of scams and overcharges these places pull is scary.
I recommend to stay away from those unless you know exactly what you are doing and are a local Chiang Mai resident, or either speak Thai, or you are visiting with Thai locals. You might end up overcharged badly.
There is a lot of good choices. Stick to the most well-known places and keep safe.
Yes, Chiang Mai doesn’t offer as much nightlife as Bangkok or Pattaya. We heard that many times and it’s true.
But put it this way: the Bangkok population is 65 times the population of Chiang Mai, (8,22 million compared to Chiang Mai’s 120K population). Of course, there are more options in Bangkok.
Therefore I consider that for a small size like Chiang Mai the nightlife entertainment offer is really numerous.
In short, Chiang Mai is lovely, fun, quiet, the food is great and the place is safe. I can’t ask for more.

Worth reading. The author claims that the characters are fictional but the stories are true.
What is the private dancer book about:
Relates the stories of various foreigners who live in Bangkok long-time, expats, or sexpats if you will.
They live in Bangkok basically for the abundance of prostitutes and the nightlife. Their life turns around the Thai hookers, and at the same time, they begin to disregard their well-being and their financial matters. The get caught in the game, basically.
The book is interesting because it also presents the story from the Thai point of view, and the Thai bar girls point of view. Which gives a tremendous hindsight and is very interesting.
What made me raise an eyebrow:
The book offers a very dark and grim vision about Thailand but I guess that’s expected. The story should have drama and something interesting to talk about otherwise, it might get boring, I accept that.
The stories are feasible but Thailand can be very beautiful and a rather “normal” place too.
What we should learn about this book:
Paying attention to the bits where they discuss Thai behaviors and customs.
Cross-cultural problems are so true.
